June 2007
On June 6th, 2007, volunteers, patrons and staff gathered at the home Integra Board President, Michael Harris, and his wife, Dawn Scott to celebrate Integra’s Annual General Meeting and honour those who have dedicated their time and energy to invigorate Integra.
Among old friends and long time supporters, Integra welcomed Heather Broughton of Northwater Capital Management, Ed and Rae Coman of Omniterm Data Technology, Richard Cummings, former Executive Director of Integra, and Elke and Peter Steinmetz of Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP.
The sun cooperated and contributed to the warmth of the camaraderie as everyone talked about what’s happening at Integra and the direction it will take in the coming year. It was announced that Colleen Coman, who has contributed so beautifully to the success of many of our fundraising events, will now give her expertise and wisdom to Integra’s Board of Directors, beginning in September.
The only sad note was when Barbara Peltz announced that Barbara Muskat will be leaving Integra after nineteen years to join the Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Barbara was presented with a ‘paddle’ of recognition for her phenomenal contribution to the vitality of Integra. She will be sadly missed by all.

Hats off to EDO Restaurant, owner Barry Chaim and Chef Ryo Ozawa for the delicious sushi, Vietnamese spring rolls and the delectable Kobe beef burgers. Michael Harris contributed his finest bottles of cabernet sauvignon and sauvignon blanc to toast the evening while Jessie Kittilsen gave us Fiji Water for our enjoyment.
All in all a wonderful way to wind up our fiscal year 2006-2007 and send us off into the new year with inspiration and good spirits.
