An Evening to Remember – May 6, 2007

What an amazing combination: Susur Lee brought his inimitable east Asian food interpretation of the freshest the market has to offer together with Douglas Rodriguez’ nuevo latino cooking, and all for the benefit of Integra’s children and their families.

We would like to salute them, their staff, and everyone listed below who gave us such a memorable evening. Integra families are truly blessed to have such wonderful people on their side.

The menu included such exotica as Fois Gras and Plantain Torchon, Salmon Panella, Creamy Quinoa, Sauce Cubanelle and Black Olive Vinaigrette.

And just before dessert, Ira Hopmeyer of Ritchies, who calls himself “Integra’s Auctioneer” once again led us on a delightful caper through a collection of wonderful auction items. A requirement of the winning bidders should be reporting back on their unique experiences. Wouldn’t we all like to hear about: the Genesis revival tour concert and dinner at EDO; night and dinner at the brand new (actually not even open yet) ONE Restaurant and The Hazelton Hotel; Auctioneer for an Evening at Ritchies and the delectable trip to Susan Sniderman’s California estate via Air Canada jet.

Of course, not to be forgotten, the most important part of the evening - we raised enough to send forty kids to Camp Towhee with money left over to go into important programs here at our Toronto location.
