November 2005
Our Invest Now. Save a Future. breakfast event in November 2005 was one of our most successful events ever. With the generous support of our sponsors and guests, we raised $123,000 to support Integra's clinical activities.
Eddie Greenspan addressed the serious policy concerns about Ontario and Canada's approach to young offenders. He clearly outlined the challenges faced by young offenders before the courts.
Among our guests was the Minister of Children and Youth Services, Mary Anne Chambers. We were pleased to inform her about the role Integra can play in an important segment of the young offender population. Results were brought forth from a study which showed close alignment between young offenders and learning disabilities. We were all reminded of how important it is to deal with emotional and behavioural problems before young people end up entangled in the legal system.
John Madden of Scotia Capital (our lead sponsor), spoke to his own experiences with learning disabilities.
